Comment Anti-Spam Plugin Now Available
Are you getting spam comments in your blog? If so, we've got a solution: the Comment Challenge plugin.
This plugin sets a score to determine allowable comments. If a comment fails, it is scored as Junk and never makes it onto your blog. Optionally, you can set a visible text-based challenge/response CAPTCHA test that requires visitors to correctly type a word in your comments form in order to submit their comments.
I've been testing Comment Challenge for the past several months, and can attest to the fact that it does a great job of halting comments spam. To see what this plugin looks like in action, check out any comment form on my Library 2.0 blog.
If you want to use this plugin, you will need to configure it on your blog. The developer has created a good set of instructions. Begin reading at the section, "Inserting the MTCommentChallenge tag."
Essentially, you need to do three things to set this up, in this order.
- Insert the tag <$MTCommentChallenge$> into two template files:
- Enable the plugin and activate what the developer calls its beacon.
- Enable the challenge/response CAPTCHA. This is optional, but recommended as an additional line of defense.

Due to the severe nature of comment spam on some of our blogs, this plugin will be implemented on all our blogs. You do not need to configure it yourself.

Anti Spam Plugin is really helpful to stop spammers because they keep on messing the look of a website. Finally, it is available. Well, i suggest you check each post you have. Maybe they have spam.
