Stress Management During Finals Week

No doubt this next week or so is going to bring on the pressure among students. We’re here to remind you to keep your cool and make sure you take care of yourself during finals time. This means eating a well-balanced diet and maybe getting a little exercise in there. Even just a walk away from your computer can do wonders for your stress levels and will have you coming back to your terms papers refreshed and ready to tackle the next pages.

E-campustours.com has some basic relaxation techniques for those students buried in the books. There are exercises that include deep breathing, muscle relaxation and meditation. Such exercises and mini-breaks can keep your stress levels at bay.

If you need some last-minute studying tips, there are a number of websites dedicated to your doing your best on those final exams. Places such as www.studytips.org, and studyguides.net offer everything from time management to ways of concentrating so you don’t waste time.

Lastly, don’t forget the resources that the Library has for you. For those last-minute citation blunders, check out our online style guides for APA, Chicago and MLA style. And, as always, Ask A Librarian! when you need any sort of research assistance.

The Dewey Staff wishes everyone best of luck on their exams and final projects!
