Library and Information Science Abstracts (LISTA) Replaces Information Science and Technology Abstracts Plus

In January 2006, Information Science and Technology Abstracts Plus database will no longer be available. However, the new Library and Information Science Abstracts (LISTA) database, from EBSCO, covers much of the same content as well as providing more coverage of library literature. The LISTA database indexes and abstracts resources on librarianship, classification, cataloging, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, information management, and the information industry. LISTA indexes more than 600 periodicals plus books, research reports, and proceedings.

You can access LISTA from the Database Finder or the Information and Library Science link from the Subject Pages and Guides portion of the University Libraries’ Web Site. This database is also freely available to the public at large. EBSCO’s link to LISTA is http://www.libraryresearch.com.

Users who are familiar with EBSCO’s Academic Search Premier and Business Source Premier will recognize LISTA’s search mechanisms. For those of you who are new to EBSCO, help is provided in the upper right hand corner of the screen. If additional help is needed contact Deborah Bernnard, Information Science Bibliographer at dbernnard@uamail.albany.edu.
