American Humanities Index Replaced by Humanities International Index

The EBSCO-hosted database American Humanities Index has been replaced by Humanities International Index. This database provides citation information for articles, essays and reviews in literary, scholarly and creative journals published in the United States and Canada.

Study Carrels Available

A limited number of study carrels are available for use through August 2006. The University Library provides closed study carrels for use by University at Albany doctoral candidates and faculty, with priority given to PhD students conducting dissertation research. Come to the University Library on Monday, January 30th, from 1-3 pm! We’ll have free coffee and tea and other giveaways, as well as the chance to enter a drawing for one of 3 $100 gift certificates to the UAlbany Bookstore. Representatives from the Libraries, SunyCard, ITS, Academic Support and Student Affairs will be present to answer your questions and welcome you back to campus. Ph.D. Students: Return or Renew Items by January 31

Borrowers with Ph.D. status have a fixed due date of January 31, 2006, for items with regular loan period. Please renew online through MyMinerva or return all items by that date to avoid overdue fines. Instructions for online renewal are available at http://library.albany.edu/circ/renewbooks.html.
