2008 Library faculty recipients University awards for Excellence
President George M. Philip has announced Candace Merbler has been selected to receive this year’s University award for Excellence in Professional Service. This prestigious honor is based on a recommendation from a peer review committee that examined a nomination statement together with other testimony and materials documenting performance over a sustained period. Philip wrote “While we take great pride in the accomplishments and dedication of all UAlbany faculty and staff, we are especially proud and grateful for the attainments and commitment of those individuals who are exemplars in research, teaching, and service in academic, professional, librarianship, and support positions.”
Excellence Award recipients will be recognized at a public ceremony and reception in the Campus Center Ballroom on Monday, May 5, at 3:30 pm.
