The Interactive Media Center Offers Free Classes
During the month of June, the Interactive Media Center will offer short classes in multi-media and web design applications. These classes are free and open to the public. Topics include Dreamweaver, Audacity, video digitizing applications, Adobe Photoshop, etc. The schedule is posted at: http://library.albany.edu/imc/signup_form.htm
June is a perfect time to learn how to make interactive pdf forms. Convert existing documents to PDF or create from scratch. Use Adobe LiveCycle Designer, available with Acrobat Pro, to create documents than can be completed on-line and submitted via the Web or email. Customize online forms by applying required fields to complete, select lists to choose from, and radio buttons to click. Class is held on Thursday, June 28th, 1:30-3:30 p.m.
For the first time we are offering Microsoft Publisher. Publisher is one of the most popular easy-to-use desktop publishing programs. It is an excellent choice for common projects such as postcards, flyers, and brochures. It can also be used to make unusual format print projects such as posters and banners. Discover how to build print documents from scratch or use the special templates. Class is held on Tuesday, June 26th, 9:30-11:30 a.m.
