DATABASE OF THE MONTH for SEPTEMBER - ProQuest Congressional

The ProQuest Congressional service provides users with efficient, targeted access to the most comprehensive collection of historic and current congressional information available anywhere online. This collection includes the full text of congressional publications, finding aids, a bill tracking service, and the full text of public laws and other research materials to enable both novice and experienced researchers to complete many types of research projects using a single, user-friendly interface. Since Congress is interested in all public policy, social, and economic issues, the database is an effective source for general research in many academic disciplines, in addition to research related to specific legislative proposals and laws. The University Library has been a United States Depository since 1969 and houses many of the congressional documents referenced in ProQuest Congressional.

ProQuest Congressional is available to current students, faculty, and staff under “Databases” at the University Libraries’ web site at http://library.albany.edu. Click on the “Search by Name” tab and look under “P” for Proquest. Or click on this direct link http://library.albany.edu/db/resource/?id=4111&dbom=sept
