The Interactive Media Center Offers Free Classes


FaceThe Interactive Media Center offers short classes in multi-media and web design applications. These classes are free and open to the public. Topics include Dreamweaver, Audacity, video digitizing applications, PowerPoint and Adobe Photoshop.

Two new classes are offered this semester:

Getting Started with WordPress for the Classroom & Personal Use
WordPress is a very popular Web content management and page design system. This class is an overview of how WordPress works. Discussion includes how to start a WordPress account, setup a site, and the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org.Wednesday, February 12th, 4:00-6:00 p.m.; repeated, Wednesday, April 30th, 4:00-6:00 p.m.

Three Alternatives to Photoshop
This class is an overview of three free alternatives to Photoshop, Irfanview, Paint.Net, and Inkscape. Participants will be introduced to the options and features of these programs. Wednesday April 9th, 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
