Extended Hours have been announced! The University Libraries is excited to continue offering its extended hours for finals week from Friday, May 3rd - Friday, May 17th. Circulation services will be available ALL hours that the libraries are open, as well as access to our laptops, headphones, and reserve materials. The Science Library and the University Library combined offer more than 200 PCs and 12 Macs maintained by ITS, quiet study space throughout the buildings, and many Group Study Rooms - all equipped with a PC, table, chairs, a dry erase board, and wireless Internet access.

The University Library will be open:

         Sunday                        9:00am - 24 Hours

Monday-Thursday                --- 24 Hours ---

          Friday*               24 Hours - 1:00am (Saturday morning)

       Saturday                       9:00am - 1:00am

The Science Library will be open:

         Sunday                        11:00am - 1:00am

Monday-Thursday           8:00am - 1:00am

          Friday *                     8:00am - 8:00pm

       Saturday                       9:00am - 8:00pm

*The Science Library will close at 5:00pm, and the University Library will close at 8:00pm on Friday, May 17th.

Please submit your Spring 2010 reserve requests for ERes and traditional (in-library) reserve by January 6 to ensure your course materials are ready for the first day of classes. Reserve request forms are available at the library circulation desks or request forms can be printed from our web page (http://library.albany.edu/reserves/rrf.pdf). We also offer a paperless, web-based reserve request form at http://apps.library.albany.edu/reserves/forms/paperlessform.aspx for those of you who wish to go green! Please provide full bibliographic citations for your requested material, regardless of how you choose to submit your reserve requests. Library staff will pull requested materials from the shelves; staff will also scan journal articles and book chapters for electronic reserve requests. 

Faculty who miss the January 6 deadline are still eligible to use our reserve services; however, we cannot guarantee that requested material will be ready by the first day of classes.
