Name Reactions and Reagents in Organic Synthesis

Newly revised and in its second edition, this resource is a "compilation of the most commonly used and widely known name reactions and reagents in synthetic organic chemistry." The reactions are listed alphabetically, and include the reaction, proposed mechanisms, notes, examples, and references to the literature. The reagents are also listed alphabetically, and include the reagent name or acronym, structure, CAS registry number, commercial availability or preparation, notes, examples, and references to the literature. The index lists reagents, reactions, starting materials, and desired products. Name Reactions and Reagents in Organic Synthesis is available in the Science Library at REF QD 291 M86 2005.
