Encyclopedia of Data Warehousing and Mining
Data warehousing is the study of managing large sets of data; data mining studies large data sets, looking for emerging and hidden patterns that may predict behavior. The Encyclopedia of Data Warehousing and Mining contains over 200 state-of-the-art reports on concepts, issues, and challenges of these fields. The reports are generally 4 to 6 pages in length and include introductory and background information, the main trust, future trends, a conclusion, a list of references, and key terminology. The reports are in alphabetical order, but there is no index to the information in the reports, only an index to the key terms. The Encyclopedia can be found in the Science Library reference section at QA 76.9 D37 E52 2006 [V. 1 and V.2].
