Project Prospect from RSC Publishing

Project Prospect is now available from RSC (Royal Society of Chemistry) Publishing. The goal of Project Prospect is to move toward the semantic web by enhancing RSC's journal articles so they can be read, indexed, and searched by machine. Human "readers will be able to click on named compounds and scientific concepts in the HTML version of an electronic journal article to download structures, understand topics, or link through to electronic databases; compounds and ontology terms will be published as RSS feeds enabling automated discovery of relevant research." Currently, over 100 articles from the 2007 issues have been enhanced by Project Prospect; this number will grow. For more information on Project Prospect, please see http://www.rsc.org/Publishing/Journals/ProjectProspect/Examples.asp.
