Earth Day 2008

An Earth Day 2008 posting: It was revealed on the ABC-TV newsmagazine 20/20 that An Inconvenient Truth, the supposed "documentary" by Nobel Laureate and former vice president Al Gore, uses computer-generated scenes from the 2004 science fiction movie The Day After Tomorrow. The scene shows ice shelves collapsing. Clips of the scene can be seen here. Other convenient lies are documented here.

Danielle, This is a Science Resources blog, not a science library blog, although I also post entries about the UAlbany Science Library. The UAlbany Science Library owns a DVD copy of An Inconvenient Truth. Therefore, I am more than justified to comment about this resource. If students, faculty, or readers are frustrated or disagree, they can comment, just like you did.

I was under the impression that this was a science library blog? This doesn't seem like a very neutral post. Although I don't think that librarians can be neutral 100% of the time, it seems to me that this entry takes a stance that could frustrate or anger some patrons, students, faculty members of your university.
