I noticed today that several Nature Publishing Group (NPG) journals, that we do not subscribe to, are available through Ebsco's Academic Search Complete. They are:

There is a one year embargo for all of them, but access to the previous years is available.
Videolectures.net is a repository for free educational lectures in science, technology, business, arts, education, law, and the humanities. Given by renowned scholars, the lectures are derived from conferences, workshops, summer schools, and other promotional events. The lectures are categorized into several broad subjects such as biology, chemistry, computer science, mathematics, medicine, physics, and technology. The site is also searchable.

Publsihed by Nature Publishing Group (NPG), Nature Chemistry is a "monthly journal dedicated to publishing high-quality papers that describe the most significant and cutting-edge research in all areas of chemistry." The University at Albany does not subscribe. In April, Nature Chemistry marked its first anniversary. In celebration, the editors have a assembled a set of their favorite articles. These articles are freely available until the end of June 2010.
IEEE Computer Society Digital Library will be unavailable Thursday, June 17 between 3:00 and 5:00 PM EDT, as well as throughout the day on Saturday, June 19.
The Beilstein-Institut has launched an open access journal focusing on nanoscience and nanotechnology: Beilstein Journal of Nanotechnology. Professor Thomas Schimmel of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany, will serve as the Editor-in-Chief. The journal will "provides a broad coverage of both fundamental and applied research, including aspects of chemistry, physics, and biology as well as materials science and engineering." Articles will be freely and universally accessible, and there will be no author or publication charges. Manuscripts are now being accepted. Additional information is available here.
