Fields Medalists are Named

Four 2010 Fields Medalists are named at the International Congress of Mathematicians in Hyderabad, India. Winners of the 2010 Nevanlinna Prize, Gauss Prize, and Chern Prize are also announced. Biographical information, laudations, and work profiles are available on this ICM Website.

AMS Research Journals have been Digitized

The archives of the American Mathematical Society (AMS) research journals have been digitized. The complete archive from the journal's inaugural issue through 2005 are freely available. This includes over 34,000 articles from more than 100 years of mathematical research. The journals are:

Bulletin of the American Mathematical Society, 1891+
Journal of the American Mathematical Society, vol. 1, 1988+
Mathematics of Computation, vol.1, 1943+
Proceedings of the American Mathematical Society, vol. 1, 1950+
Transactions of the American Mathematical Society, vol. 1, 1900+

Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) has developed a nifty Web page that provides a content analysis for SciFinder and its parts (CAPlus, Registry, CASReact, ChemList, and ChemCats) . The chart includes the number of references, content, coverage, and update frequency. It can be found here.
