Proceedings of the International Mathematical Congress

The International Mathematical Union (IMU) is providing free access to all of the articles from all of the Proceedings of the International Mathematical Congress from the beginning of the congress in 1893. The congresses are arranged by year, and are searchable. The congresses are known by several names including ICM, International Congress of Mathematicians, Congrès International des Mathématiciens, Internationaler Mathematiker-Kongress, and Congresso Internazionale dei Matematici .

Mobile Access to Safari Books Online

Safari Books Online now offers a mobile user interface. This new feature is available for any mobile device that supports 320x480 screen resolution and these operating systems and browsers: Palm Pre (all models), iPhone (all models), all Android devices running Android OS 2.1+, all Blackberry devices running Blackberry OS 5.0+, Opera Mini browser 5.1, and Internet Explorer Mobile (Windows Mobile 6+). Chemistry Journals

Chemistry Journals was developed at the Department of Chemistry of Cambridge University. It is a very comprehensive list of chemistry journals, with links to their Websites. It is arranged by publisher, but it can also be "sorted" alphabetically or listed by broad chemistry subject.

BioMed Central Increases Access to Research Data

BioMed Central's open access journal BMC Research Notes announces plans to increase access to research data. The plan will provide researchers with best practice guidance on releasing their data. The press release is available here.

IMU Issues Best Practices for Jounals

The International Mathematical Union (IMU) has issued a new document providing best practice guidelines for the running of mathematical journals. It deals with the rights and responsibilities of authors, referees, editors, and publishers. Recommendations, based on principles of transparency, integrity and professionalism, are made.
