A Comparison of SciFinder and Scopus XXV

This post compares the cited reference results of SciFinder and Scopus for this article:

Scaling analysis of Schottky barriers at metal-embedded semiconducting carbon nanotube interfaces. Physical Review B - Condensed Matter and Materials Physics, 69 (16), art. no. 161402 (2004).

SciFinder found 29 cited references with 9 unique and Scopus found 22 with 2 unique cited references. For the 2 unique found by Scopus, the first is a review article in Physics Reports. SciFinder has an article record for it, but there is no citation list and no citing link. The second article is in Journal of Molecular Modeling. There is an article record in SciFinder, the citation list includes the Physical Review B (PRB) article, but there’s no citing link due to a citation error.

The 9 unique found by SciFinder include 6 articles in arXiv.org, which is not covered by Scopus. The other 3 have article records in Scopus, the citation lists include the PRB article, but there are no citing links because of citation errors. These articles are in Materials Research Society Symposium Proceedings, Applied Physics Letters, and Nanotechnology.
