Government Apps for Science

The Government section of Information Week contains an article entitled "10 Handy Mobile Apps From Uncle Sam." Among the list are two science-oriented apps:

  • Department of Energy's Science.gov app "searches over 50 databases and over 2,100 selected websites from 13 federal agencies, offering 200 million pages of authoritative U.S. government science information including research and development results."
  • Cancer.gov from the National Cancer Institute contains "a dictionary of terms, and news and information on cancer types, diagnoses, treatments, and how to treat side effects."
