University Library Open During Fountain Day

The University Library will be open with regular services available on Fountain Day, Sunday, April 22. However, there will be only escorted access from the northeast corner of the University Library building, closest to the Arts and Sciences building. Go to that area and wait for an escort. Library users and employees will be escorted to the library entrance since it will not be directly accessible from 11 am - 4 pm during Fountain Day activities. In addition, library users and employees will be escorted out of the University Library building during the Fountain Day event. There will be no direct access to Fountain Day activities from the University Library. A security guard will assist in maintaining a climate conducive to research and study. Users can anticipate noise from Fountain Day within the Library since events are occurring directly outside. We recommend the Science Library as a quiet alternative during Fountain Day.

New in Minerva

What's New in Minerva:

* The Call number search displays the title after the call number.

* The GovDoc call number search also displays the title.

* More cross references display.

* The Search Option of "Computer Software" now includes software shelved in the book stacks, as well as in our media collections. (Previously it consisted solely of software in our media collections.)

* The "Brief Recs" button as a result of a Title or Series Browse search may hold helpful information for you. Try searching "Garland Shakespeare bibliographies." (You do not see "Brief Recs" buttons if you perform a keyword search.)

* All monographic series titles are now indexed in both Series and Title Browse. (Until now Title Browse lacked some monographic series titles.)
